@AlieGG @straithe No, this meme from @geekmomprojects is the true art that came out of all this.

I also kinda wanna make the center part out of wood, but idk if I have time for that. Turning wood would be a fun new skill though.

But gotta keep my 1 project per week cadence and actually edit/post the videos I’ve been taking.

This week I’m making….another lamp!

I’m thinking of making an hourglass with 2 bulbs that rotates from the center using a slip ring.

Still have to figure out the center attachment and how that rotates. Plus how I’m getting the bulbs in there.

Might scrap the rotating in favor of figuring out a repeatable way to attach the bulbs. Last weeks lamp took over an hour just to get the dang bulb in place so I’d rather not repeat that.

Taking a different direction, last week I designed and printed this lamp.

Yes, even the lampshade is printed. Vase mode is pretty cool but there were definitely some issues in the surface finish. Plus the dang thing broke while attaching the lightbulb so I had to solder the layers back together. 😅

That last one was made with concrete + rebar. Oh and some sand for the void space where the light bulb is. Looks sick at night or in a dark room
Soooo I’ve been making lamps recently and have been slacking on the whole, post what you make part. So here are some snippets!

The goal for each week is to make the project, create a video showing how I made it, write up a guide for how to make it yourself & post on hackster, AND post it on Etsy incase anyone wants me to make them one. Cause you know, a girls gotta eat.

Am I overly ambitious, probably?
Is it a good idea, definitely!
Will I be able to keep it up, follow me to find out! 😅

Soooo I’ve committed to posting a new project every week.

I’m still waiting for this first one to dry so here’s a teaser!
