@godlessmom The only reason I'm still occasionally on there is to watch the fire burn. My account mostly serves to advertise my Mastodon to my followers so they know where to find me.

I'm really glad you're here in Mastodon - yes, you, personally. You either helped build it early on and believed in it before the Twitter exodus, or you're part of that exodus and had to leave a platform that you cared about bc of your morals, but either way, you're here and I think that's really cool. Thanks for joining, contributing your thoughts, efforts, and time, and making this a great place to be. I appreciate it. ❤️

@snowyavis Yeah, me and social media have a tenuous relationship at best. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it. Hoping to find a better home here. I'm suffering from some mental illness atm so depending on my mood I may be on and off both here and the bird app. Mood swings are a bitch. They're also wrecking my sleep, so there's that.

@darkcarnivaleric I mean, the problem is that the whole microblogging format benefits bigots and the far right more than it does anyone else. It's easy to say an ignorant, wrong thing in a single tweet, but correcting that tweet takes 10 reply tweets. And the algorithm is gonna favor the short but wrong tweet 100% of the time. At the same time, Musk definitely contributed to the nosedive. Pretending to be neutral was all Twitter had going for it.

@snowyavis Yep, that's my account. Seemed like a lot of people are trying out Mastodon so I figured I'd give it a shot now that Twitter seems to be slowly dying.

@tokyo_0 He's obviously just begging for people's approval. Why else base your decisions on Twitter polls? It's pathetic. The only people who support him are now angry that he's unbanning the accounts.
