Unstan chambered cairn for #TombTuesday. This cairn has a skylight and a ceiling added in the 20th century. The graffiti, some dating from the 19th century, includes runic carvings that initially appear to be Norse but aren’t. #neolithic #archaeology #orkney #ModernAntiquarian #Megalithic #tomb #HollowHill
Eventually everything we do will be reclaimed by nature, and wanish. This is a helmet I made many years ago, wich I deliberatly are letting get corroded...
This is three different gauntlets I made for thref different women, Vera Vitali, playing Cappa in the Netflix tv series "Ronja the robbers dougther" and for the Swedish Jouster "Lady Caroline" and the last pair I made for the two times winner of Eurovision song contest, "Loreen"
This is the finished helmet.
Forging the front of a joustinghelmet "Stehhelm" from 5 mm thick plate. I only use hand tools when shaping armour.
@nikolaihampton I woork very traditional, with a coal forge and hand tools. Anvils and stakes. Sometimes welding, but not often... this is the front of a jousting helmet.
@mothninja thank you very much!!
@[email protected] I do really agree!! I think ai in art craft music etc. are going to get a lot of people feel more creative, at first!! But it will totally destroy human creativity and well beeing in the long term. I work as a proffessional armourer,and there is nothing as the great deep feeling of plesure and proudnes when you have finished something you worked with for two weeks, a month or haf a year. And thats nothing you can get out of somting AI generated stuff.
I'm a proffessional Armourer. I made my first steel helmet when I was 14 years old. 1998 I founded my company. Since then I have been making and Designing handmade high-quality armour. Here are some examples of helmets made by me.
