Neat idea! Simple widget and a really nicely designed app to boot 🌱

Sheesh - just needed to use brew on a relative’s new Mac Mini (old printer needed drivers) and the first result for “homebrew install” was a sponsored link to an Evernote page that looked semi-official. It had the usual copy & paste terminal command with a dodgy base64 encoded url.

Stay frosty out there folks!

🚀 Listening Post β5 was just released, my always-on #macOS #music recognition app. This update brings:

- "Now playing" desktop widgets ✨
- Configure #Shortcuts workflows that fire automatically when you like, unlike, or forget a track
- Track menu overhaul

macOS mystery disk space reporting strikes again: My 1TB drive was filled with 600GB of APFS snapshots that none of the usual tools were able to clear.

They turned out to be failed time machine backups that you can clear in Disk Utility, but that's not shown or explained anywhere, they were just lumped in with "System Data".

A soaring US vs a stagnant EU? “Europeans benefit from more leisure time than Americans, higher life expectancy & lower inequality levels, all w/ comparable productivity rates. However one looks at it, this is a considerably better economic performance.” https://archive.ph/fGe9V
Does anyone else get battery anxiety watching Stranger Things? I mean it’s the 80s and they’re running around with battery powered torches and radios all day – didn’t things have like 90 minutes of battery life in the 80s?

Does anyone like Spatial Audio for watching TV or films? Whenever we’re watching something on Apple TV and the audio seems weirdly off or quiet, it’s always Spatial Audio that’s somehow been switched on again.
