@nobyeni Maybe ask then how they like an item to fit. For example, if it's a hat, do they like it slouchy or tight fitting, over the ears or riding high?
@KristinMuH With knitting I know where I am. The stitch is on the needle. With crochet I'm always wondering "is this the right hole" "is this the stitch" "what about this bit at the end"? Knitting is just more intuitive for me.
@mloxton @gbhnews if you can, store some of that fresh water in your freezer. It will help keep your frozen stuff cold longer.

@kevinkosullivan @histodons @academicchatter My daughter's first year she took a class that was basically historical D&D. The major assignments they had were to write and deliver persuasive speeches in the character of whatever historical figure they were assigned. So, Athenian general arguing for the need to collect tithes or French revolutionary figure arguing for women's suffrage. I would think you could translate that for history or literature courses.
@HaelusNovak Ah, I see. Sort of. I think that just may be part of the annoyance of knitting a large object.
@HaelusNovak sounds like maybe you got things twisted before you connected in the round. Or sometimes I've managed to do that in the 2nd round when things are still loose at the join. If that's what it is, it's usually a case of having to start over. Post a pic.
