@drmaddkap what about if they're only slightly repentant? Cause I'm all for slow bigots being trampled (even fast ones)
@number137 @vagina_museum @cstross so, possibly the origin of the idea of the "Tribble"?

This mind-bending timelapse with the Milky Way stabilized shows the Earth is spinning through space.

@sarahtaber what the sqrl?
@ai6yr or like happened recently, an iot company just disappears, and took down their servers... Poof! Entire ecosystem gone, bricked... Temporary until people figured out workarounds, but completely the wrong direction imho
@ai6yr see, this is another reason I really really don't want anything that requires an internet connection to function... companies come and go, i want to have an edge control device, let my stuff on the network talk to that, behind firewalls! If i choose to let that device talk to a web site or a device, car, whatever, it's a choice not by demand or ransom. Brick by forced update shouldn't exist
@ai6yr IIRC that's known also as "banana oil" in some industrial circles, and the main place I've found it was initial fit testing respirator equipment (one brand I wear a medium, another a large, otherwise they don't seal which is not good with some of the chemicals I've worked around)
@ai6yr so, do the modern, i think they're Cavendish? Bananas qualify as "fake" in this context? I'm pretty sure Captain America would agree...
@ai6yr oddly, I've not had a problem with them being bothered by me working with LOTS of acetone... Haven't been stung since I was a little kid
@ai6yr weird then, i wonder if a dye is particularly bright at certain wavelengths? Maybe something that reminds them of a natural enemy? Maybe hornets?
