Husband, ham since 1990, love DXing, contesting, and portable HF--always curious about RF, electronics, GPS, timing, homebrew, and general geekery. All made possible through the magic of coffee.
@k8vsy From your personal amateur radio blog it looks like the Bunny Shack is in a shed. Have you insulated the walls and how do you find that in the winter? I was thinking of doing something similar but I'm in the mountains in Colorado. Insulation sounds like a must.
Does anyone use a standing desk for their shack? I have a standing height workbench with shelves for the test gear that works greak for anything needing homebrewing, repair, development, etc. But for operating I would like options and the motorized standing desks from FlexiSpot that hold 200+ lbs are where I'm leaning right now. Chair? Stand? Great! #shack#shackdesign
Hi everyone, AF0M in Colorado here! Long time listener, first time poster. Or Tooter on Mastodon? I love DXing and contesting; mostly the thrill of the chase and the technical work that goes into it. That work is the excuse for the other geekery that I get up to--RF, electronics, test equipment, GPS, timing (PNT, GNSS, etc.), homebrew, antennas (no towers for me), and on and on... #introductions#dx#contesting#gps#homebrew
