well if you run your own woodpecker server, you can just allow the pipeline to be priviledged and mount folders as docker volumes directly

I can not see what the issue you discuss is.
I assume you run docker backend on the same host as the forge?
In this case make sure the reverse proxy that does ssl for it also can be used in fresh created docker containers. (common mistake on single host setups)
