I don’t know the full context of your social situation or how your friends work. But given what little I know I’d just take this a learning experience and move on. I doubt in the long haul it will look bad on you. If anything look poorly on the other person.

Plus you need to track down a real cable to use it. I’ve tried using RockSmith a little while back to learn and I found the game only gotten the way of my learning. Not to mention at the time there weren’t songs I cared about learning. You really need to have had mastering finger placement and chords before you ever touch the program. And even then I never got very far with it.

I loved Rockband for the experience of feeling like a rockstar. Feeling like a crowd cheering me on. RockSmith to me is a very different beast. A great milestone in tech but one that serves a very different purpose.

It was insanely addictive to me. Nothing really special just a good idea really. I’m sure with any and all it’s rip offs your getting a similar game. I appreciated the lack of data privacy with the game. If you had it on Android back in the day it’s still downloadable from the play store.
