Spent the past 24 hours processing the death of Steve Albini, It would take too long to explain how much he influenced my taste in music. It was a lot. Then, about a decade ago, I got the crazy idea to get him to record some of my own music. And he FUCKING DID! He was just as amazing and complicated as all the stories you hear. If you want to hear some of his lesser known production credits, I humbly submit the following....
👀😬 #Producers are losing money when selling vegetables to #supermarkets.
"We're getting $2.40 a kilo for our zucchinis, which is 40 cents a kilo above what it costs to grow them. But the supermarkets are retailing them at nearly $7 a kilo."
The growers liken the mark-up to "price gouging" and say many #farmers are struggling to stay afloat.

U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth is fed up with those defending the Jan. 6 rioters so during a sentencing hearing for one of the J6 defendants, he let loose...

In a sweeping two-year investigation, The Associated Press found goods linked to prisoners wind up in the supply chains of everything from Frosted Flakes cereal and Ball Park hot dogs to Gold Medal flour and Coca-Cola. They are on the shelves of most supermarkets, including Kroger, Target and Whole Foods. They’re also exported. The prisoners who help produce these goods are disproportionately people of color. Some are sentenced to hard labor and forced to work – or face punishment – and are sometimes paid pennies an hour or nothing at all. They also are excluded from protections guaranteed to almost all other full-time workers, even when they are seriously injured or killed on the job. And it can be almost impossible for them to sue.
This is how tone deaf the GOP is. Here is a clip from the newsletter of the state house leader of the PA GOP. They start out talking about "school choice" (which is just a way of defunding public education BTW) because they say they care about kids. Then right below it they talk about fighting gun laws. Please look at the laws they are fighting against:
banning multi-burst trigger
activators?
banning ghost guns?
Understand these are the type of things that make mass shootings possible.
