Off topic but this needs answering ASAP as @MU0WLV is loosing sleep. Does anyone know what this is? Its got 'Simplex' stamped on it, old stove manufacturer I think. Any liquid poured into the top goes through the external loop before exiting from the small tube at the thin end. Well made with proper silver solder. Approx 21cm long and 2.5cm dia. There's scoring in the wider end indicating maybe a plunger was in there?

Fettling the #QDX yesterday and although there's some wrinkles I thought I'd try a few quick calls, 10m FT8. To my surprise I was only heard in Lebanon, no one else!

A l ittle wibble at the beach today again for a couple of hours. 5W, flowerpot antenna. Not too bad ,Azerbaijan in the mix and Israel too. Slowly building my DXCC!
