Off topic but this needs answering ASAP as @MU0WLV is loosing sleep. Does anyone know what this is? Its got 'Simplex' stamped on it, old stove manufacturer I think. Any liquid poured into the top goes through the external loop before exiting from the small tube at the thin end. Well made with proper silver solder. Approx 21cm long and 2.5cm dia. There's scoring in the wider end indicating maybe a plunger was in there?

@m0lte at the mo I'm using soundmodem and QtTermTCP but I've only a 817 so it's a bit of a stretch. I've got an IC-735 but it's not very stable frequency wise and needs looking at! As France is closer I've been looking for French HF packet activity but haven't had much luck

@m0lte Ta. Sorry I've only just seen your reply! I've ordered with no probs. The only thing is the postage might be a bit more than to mainland UK. The plus side being we don't need to sort out import duty from UK to Guernsey! Let me know if you'll need more for postage. Cheers!

@g0fcu @MU0WLV high band version built for 9V supply, no matter what I do with the toroid I'm unable to get above ~3.5W. Of course more beanz meanz more powerz! Had some good results though on 10 with a vertical.
