@carlrichell In computer science, we have layers of abstraction to allow us to work with machines: APIs, frameworks, compilers, and even the much-loved/hated LLM Coding is one. While the codes (civil, criminal, or regulatory) that govern our lives are still interpreted, there is no high-level layer to manage this code. Perhaps instead of looking for new laws and regulations, we should have a compiler that helps us digest the ones we already have.

Abbiamo passato decenni in cui era prassi regalare animali morti ai medici. Cosa mai è andato storto?

Ancora oggi, ad ogni ricovero, i pazienti di una certa età, provano in tutti i modi ad ingraziarsi il primario.

Prima dovevo fare la fila per rifare la ricetta, poi bastava uno scambio di eMail e poi ci sono state le piattaforme. Da Caregiver preferirei mille volte di più aver a che fare con un RAG che con un infermiera diversa ogni settimana.

@MrLovenstein Looking at this cartoon as a European, I feel profoundly fortunate for our public healthcare system. But there's a bittersweet side: the US system, with all its limitations, is often the financial engine of global medical research. Thanks to the American citizens who, unfortunately, pay out of their own pockets for the progress we all benefit from.
