My homemade Ginger Bug Ginger Beer is very good. It took a while to get going, left it out at room temp for about 4 days, now in the fridge. Has plenty of natural carbonation, a pleasant ‘funk’ and quite a substantial ginger flavour. Love it! Not too sugary which is good. 🍻
Have taken the first harvest from the Ginger Bug which has been in the fridge resting while we were on holiday.
After a busy day, we have six fresh bottles of what will hopefully be Ginger Beer. Fingers crossed 🤞!

We now have a ring of bubbles around the jar. Exciting!
Ginger Bug - Day 4
We have bubbles! Aroma is very gingery now. Have had to put an order in for more organic ginger as we’re running out 😬!!
Ginger Bug - Day 3 (sorry, no Day 1 or 2!)
Significant change since yesterday, much darker in colour. Opted to grate the ginger today, rather than plopping it in whole or slightly chopped. Topped up with sugar. Fastened the lid fully during the day today and confirmed it is producing gas. 🙂
