Flying to Newcastle (NSW) for the first time since 2018. My bags are LOADED with pressies and food gifts and I had to pay for 5kg excess baggage which I did without complaint because I’m not an arse. The ground staff almost wept with relief. Told me she hates telling passengers they have excess baggage at this time of year. Moral of this story: Give thanks for being able to see family this year and don’t be an arse to airline staff.

Abandoned AmericaI'm really glad you're here in Mastodon - yes, you, personally. You either helped build it early on and believed in it before the Twitter exodus, or you're part of that exodus and had to leave a platform that you cared about bc of your morals, but either way, you're here and I think that's really cool.
