A colleague said, that <the log files I need> are in his $HOME dir, and "you can figure out by names and dates". I hesitated to do `ls ~/<his_login>`. I feel it's like going through someone's drawers.

But I needed those log files, so I did. I still feel bad.

Everything personal in my work computer is in a directory called "personal". :-P

A computer (and the home dir on a shared box) is a very personal thing to me. I even once compared using someone else's laptop to using someone else's toothbrush.
