i've been cracking myself up all day thinking about a very serious d&d bard character whose main instrument is a kazoo
@snoothy and they snap their fingers a lot for rhythm and it's just embarrassing for the rest of the party cuz they get super into it but they're not even really keeping a steady beat.
@mykola i was thinking that instead of earning their living by playing music for people, they just show up at places and play and people give them money to stop making that godawful noise
@snoothy but they refuse, even when it's spelled out explicitly, to believe or acknowledge that anyone finds their music in any way unpleasant. They have this ongoing cognitive dissonance that they apply to everything. (+3 will save?)
