I spent the evening working on notifications for the #onlinewritinglog - It's one of those things that really comes in handy when you're building an online app for a variety of reasons.#onlinewritingapp #amwriting #janwritingchallenge #turtlewriters

@TechieInAK Hey! I make an app called WordKeeperAlpha. I suppose technically we're "competitors" but fart-noise at that. I always like meeting people who had roughly the same idea I did but went at it differently.

What were your reasons for making #onlinewritinglog, if you don't mind me asking?

@writerSeth ah yeah! I've looked at your app. It's a great app, well executed.

It kind of ended up being an extension of an Excel spreadsheet tracker I made. And, I've been wanting to make one for years...the catalyst ended up being my discovery of the Bubble development platform. It simplified development tremendously. So, I figured, why not? I can make it the way I really want it with the benefit of feedback from other projects and writer friends. :) how about you?

@TechieInAK I loved how seeing my word counts graphed out during NaNoWriMo encouraged me to keep writing. Back then NaNo's graphs didn't stick around after November so I thought to myself: "Myself...you can make your own." So I did. :)

Now I like using it to practice and expand my skills with new stuff. I also like making my users happy when I push something out they've been looking for.

@writerSeth yeah, same here. Visuals are a powerful motivator.
@TechieInAK Indeed. I love making the graphs then seeing them work.
@writerSeth Exactly. The graphs is one aspect that I need to focus more on... I have some basic stuff there now but it's mostly placeholders. Some of the data structures are still a bit in flux so
