4F/-16C is pretty cold for biking D: my goggles frosted over pretty much instantly, and also my snot. a lot of cars were really impatient with me during my commute!!! sorry, cars, i can't safely go any faster than this, please be kind ;_;

@nev @modgethanc Warming breaks you mean? Or rest breaks?
My main problem with the ride was that I layered too heavily and started sweating, which is very not ideal in -20 weather and probably would have been unrecoverable on a long ride.
@ivanvector @nev yeah, i've been working on learning some heat/sweat venting techniques for long cold hikes, but biking is hard because it's so exothermic. usually my toes start going numb first, though, since they're so exposed to road spray and wind.
my goggles fog in like five minutes, then they freeze; it's just from my breath sneaking up my scarf/hood and pooling over my face, i think. but i also have to keep my mouth/nose covered in this temperature. tricky!!!
@modgethanc @nev what i lack on top i make up for on the chin
it's more like a brillo pad than a big comfy blanket tho, tbh
