-polo x-67s because i only have one pair of shoes i bike in; thick wool hiking socks; knee-high waterproof gaiters
-wool thermal tights, work jeans
-wool thermal shirt, t-shirt, hoodie (sometimes a nice technical hoodie, but lately a shitty cotton one)
-down jacket, hard shell
-wool scarf, helmet, orange ski goggles
-glove liners, 3-finger mittens, bar mitts
stay cozy, #mastobikes
wow it's -4C out and i'm excited to ride home because it's *so warm*
winter. i put on fresh brake pads about two weeks ago, and i'm almost down to the metal already ;_;
4F/-16C is pretty cold for biking D: my goggles frosted over pretty much instantly, and also my snot. a lot of cars were really impatient with me during my commute!!! sorry, cars, i can't safely go any faster than this, please be kind ;_;
i don't understand the physics well enough to know why this works, but every winter i am equally startled that i can bike through snow like this 🧡🚴♂️⛄

JUST IN TIME.
i only planned to spend 20m on a tire swap, but it's a balmy 60F out before a long winter storm is due to settle in, so i took a few hours overhauling a bunch of stuff i've put off on colder days. back on my old knobblies, tuned brakes and replaced worn pads, adjusted headset, cleaned the chain, etc. gotta get ready for #vikingbiking!
