fel ✨white ppl who say "i hate white people" really get on my nerves bc if ur gonna say something like that, CLAIM and ACKNOWLEDGE ur whiteness. U ARE WHITE, you don't get to distance urself from that identity in social justice discourse, esp when white ppl have been the main oppressors throughout history. not saying that white ppl can't hate white ppl, but too often when i see this, they act like they ain't white themselves
this white gay person on fb just said that "white gays get so mad when you tell them that pride isn't about them" like yes that's true but the wording implies they too aren't a white gay themself, which they are. just bc ur a "socially conscious" white person does not mean that u can discard ur white identity. criticize it, but criticize it while acknowledging that that is also who u are
