EnforsDamn, the federated timeline is mostly a Japanese spam-o-rama. Nothing wrong with Japanese per se (I'm trying off and on to learn it), but it's just not what I want to see. Makes me wish Mastodon had a language filter setting that I could set to only show posts in languages that I can read.
Mx Turumore@Enfors I remember the flow of Mastodon being more balanced before the local instances really kicked off in various countries, and now the Federated timeline is very busy, even for someone who does speak Japanese. I'm looking forward to future enhancements in this regard, but in the meanwhile I'll be sticking to my Local timeline.
@turumore Aparently, there is code for a language filter that's being worked on. Hopefully, it'll be included in the release version of Mastodon eventually.
