Woke up this morning and realized I had totally forgotten about Mastodon. How does a social media platform persist when it doesn't take root in your mind?

@LanceUlanoff Usually because they're run on servers or similar equipment that are kept up through data centers/facilities designed for 24/7 uptime.

But, I mean, some persist through equipment internally like Raspberry Pis or home servers I suppose...

Also, you shouldn't let things take root. You should be handling user permissions responsibly, sir. That's just good administration.
