Added percussion to the orchestral piece I'm working on, also some more electronic hats to just "speed up" the feel of it, they are definitely subject to change. https://instaud.io/TBq
@thelsdj I really like this, especially with the added percussion. But to me it sounds like there's something not quite right about part of the horn line, particularly at 0:19-0:22 and repeated 30sec later. Like maybe one of the notes isn't in the normal scale of the instrument, or maybe the articulation/dynamics aren't quite natural. Can't put my finger on it since I'm not a horn player, but that part has a bit of an "uncanny valley" aspect to it. Not sure I'm describing it that well...
@Xangis Yeah I see what you mean, I can't put my finger on it either, though I did find I was basically using a wrong note everywhere that generally sounded OK but I think it was causing some issues when mixed with other stuff and would confuse arpeggiators/etc.
@Xangis Here is new version that I'm not sure whether it fixes that issue but it changes some other stuff so it might be better. https://instaud.io/TDF
@thelsdj @Xangis The horn is a bit flat relative to everything else. Are you doing reverb/delay on the main or per-instrument?
@Riley @Xangis not at my computer but I think I had sends set equally but will check
@Riley @Xangis huh, yeah everything had the same reverb send and these are all the same set of Ableton orchestral instruments, made the horn a bit more present, we'll see how it sounds tomorrow with other changes.
