I've had so many failures and losses over the years that even with a dual redundancy NAS, Dropbox and CrashPlan Pro I still have a low level terror of losing it all.

Like, if you're just taking what worked for successful people, you are failing to do anything for anyone who runs into problems along the way and needs a different approach.
As much as I like some of what I learned from Tim Ferriss' stuff, there is something really weird about how so many young white male professionals seem to idolize him as the end-all-be-all of personal and professional development.
There seems to be a commonly missed lesson in what he teaches which is that his solutions work for a large number of people, but if you aren't critical of the advice you may find much later that you aren't in that group and have wasted a lot of time.
