Curious aspects of early days is unquestioning reciprocity of 'follows' - like: If you've found your way here already you must be kinda alright. Would be fun to compare SNA on here and Twitter. My growing feeling is that Twitter lets me listen to any 'public' conversation, but here it might be just plain eavesdropping. ;-) Wondering about the idea of a quiet space to build ideas and how that reconciles with openness... #feelingresponsibilityofmyFollowclicks.

@paigecuffe We seem to be (to paraphrase @katebowles) on our way towards building a little subculture of critical pedagogy... My experience has been that there is simultaneously more room for in-depth conversation and a lower threshold for strangers jumping in.

@paigecuffe Further to that: everyone on Twitter has become a little twitchy...generally when a stranger jumps into a conversation there is a fear they are there to troll or abuse - and with good reason. Here my experience is that folks jump in with thoughtful and constructive comments, bringing added depth and interest to a conversation.

Not sure yet why that is, but it's refreshing.
