Spend almost an hour to try to understand why Tusky doesn't work with this instance and Android 7.0. Turns out it is described in the github issue[1], there is an Android issue[2] for it and there pretty much nothing that can be done about it. It's just that Android 7.0 doesn't bother to support a particular elliptic curve HT has in its certificate.

Geez.

I feel sad.

@pinkpony yeah, tried to install #tusky on my #BlackBerry just to find the same error. No chance to use #mastodon. :(

@luke__666 mastodon.cloud also has a certificate with a P-384 curve DSA key, but this issue is really specific to Android 7.0. I can't really tell what happens with older versions that, supposedly, are in the BlackBerry phones.

Still, I think that the admins are little bit overzealous with the crypto. RSA key would be just fine.
