@ekansa #OpenScience and archæology? We might have things to discuss. Part of my goal is to bring more openness to #ethnography. Finished our anthro course with a discussion of indigenous archæology and open collaboration.

@Enkerli Interesting!

It's good to meet you! Yes, all those issues you raised are important in our work with @opencontext. Here are some papers that may interest you: https://opencontext.org/about/bibliography

@ekansa Probably came across some @opencontext work while searching for references to assign for that last class. Students (third year undergrads) were particularly interested in digital digs and fieldwork, at this point. But not yet into open scholarship.
@Enkerli Well, if you do see future interest in open scholarship, I'm working on some Jupyter Notebook examples that do some data visualization off @opencontext's API. A fun way to link a little programming with #anthropology / #archaeology.
@ekansa @opencontext Sounds good. It's been easy for me to get the potential of open scholarship (been beating that drum for 19 years). Just hard to teach that to some students, depending on how far along a scholarly path they are. (And which path it is.)
