@leo Heck yeah you can! Here's to hoping that multi-user support comes to the web and/or mobile apps very soon.
@leo Oh man, this multi-account, multi-server thing has got my head spinning. I think I'm going to stick to one account to keep my sanity.
@DavyB It's just like email. Back in the CompuServe/MCIMail/Genie days. Sort of.
@leo That makes SOME sense to me, but what is the advantage? Can't you follow and interact with users on different instances already with one account? P.S. I'm still learning, I'm about an hour into this whole thing.
@DavyB let mastodon wash over you. Understanding will come effortlessly over time.
@DavyB @leo Yep! It's pretty much a matter of picking an instance and sticking with it. I'm on Mastodon.social but idk whether to jump to marxism.party or memetastic.space or witches.town or host my own.
@leo Do you have to maintain these accounts completely separately? Is there a way for you to "associate" them all together or do people just need to know that you're all three of these?
@rjv I use @leo . I hadn't used the quitter.no account in a couple of years. If I do end up creating a TWiT mastodon instance I'd move there and let you know here.
@leo So theoretically anyone could squat on "@leo" in other mastodon instances and your official account would be via the TWiT instance? The federated nature definitely adds a bit of complexity.

@rjv That's true. You'd have to use other sites to verify my identity.

I'm hoping Keybase.io will add OStatus to their verified sites listing. That would be the best way.
