The project starts from a simple premise: in a distant future, we have lost access to musical instruments and all we have left is a tiny little box. In this box, there is (a collection) of sounds. Sounds that link to specific memories, places in time and space, that no longer exist.

Can these sonic memories be rearranged in order to create new ones? Have we not always been, as humans, limited by the scope of our own knowledge and experience, when we try to create something new?

On the album, archive recordings featuring Ragnar Jónsson on #Halldorophone and Flemming Valmundsson on button #accordion have been ”vesselised”, rearranged and transformed using ”vssl”.
