+&+ from (vessels)2 🚢 with Sistro Duo ✨

25 min into the piece comes "VII: ghosts" 👻 and breaks with the established format of the piece by adding live vocals (off stage) and going full-on song-mode🕯️

What are now the "lyrics" of this song was I wrote just before writing any of the music for (vessels)2, using it as a mood-board for the piece. I love using songs as abstract story-telling devices in my music.

More from (vessels)2 🚢 with Sistro Duo✨

"IV what is this?" Is a short and playful movement 🍄 in which crunchy snare drum samples 🥁 are combined with deconstructed, glitched sounds 👾

(vessels)2 is written for my instrument vssl 🎛️

RIP Éliane Radigue

Source: Wikipedia. Éliane Radigue was a French composer. She began working in the 1950s and her first compositions were presented in the late 1960s. Until 2000 her work was almost exclusively created with the ARP 2500 modular synthesizer and tape. Since 2001 she has composed mainly for acoustic instruments.

Snippets from the premiere of (vessels)2 with Sistro Duo✨

(vessels)2 explores the sampler as both container and vessel. 🚢The piece is performed on vssl, a perceptual sampler and granular synthesizer I designed, programmed, and built🎛️

vssl uses machine learning to analyze and organize sounds by their audio descriptors rather than filenames, enabling real-time navigation through sample libraries 🤖

New adjustments to shipping policies within Europe, derived from what happened with shipments to the US, have eliminated the option of sending merchandise through ordinary letter mail, something that is completely incomprehensible. Now, sending a CD within Europe practically costs the same as the CD itself.
Unfortunately, we will begin to see the underground scene, which for years has performed miracles to release lesser‑known artists in physical formats and create more compelling editions capable of reaching a wider audience, slowly fade away. Together with the new European regulations imposing tax charges of up to 21% under the DAC7 directive, this ecosystem will gradually disappear.
It is heartbreaking and deeply frustrating to witness an attack of this magnitude on the most independent side of culture.
