Update: On June 23, eight defendants in the Prairieland case were sentenced to prison terms ranging from 30 to 100 years. The DOJ called it the “first sentencing of defendants affiliated with Antifa following President Donald J. #Trump’s executive order designating the group as a Domestic Terrorist Organization in September 2025.” https://www.texasobserver.org/prairieland-antifa-verdict-threatens-anti-trump-resistance/

How the Prairieland 'Antifa' Verdict Threatens the Anti-Trump Resistance

Last week's convictions related to a July 4 ICE detention center demonstration raise red flags about the right to protest. “This can happen to you, and if they can do it to you, they will.”

I'm reminded of a saying that want something along the lines of "if you remove the people's means peacefully seeking redress…".
That seems like the bigger (long-term) threat. I mean, at this point, these judges are effectively saying that pamphleteering will get you as much jail time as murder. It begs the question of why wouldn't a would-be protester just go straight to murder?
