No it is egg.

I extracted some goose from slide so you don't have to. Screengrab As A Service.

It was goose that created value.

Value is goose!

You are goose! Not factory!!!

Factory is where you work not who you are!

Watch your value go hjönk and to the right!
@corbden I genuinely don’t know how anyone involved in that operation looks at that chart and feels anything but terror
@Athena @corbden This bubble is stupid overheated but it's hard to know when to start unwinding your positions. It may still go up another 50% or it could drop 50% tomorrow. Who the fuck knows.

@JessTheUnstill @Athena

"People think wall street is gambling. It's not. It's fraud."

(I heard this recently but I forget where.)

Because it's going to crash? Or because it's not going to crash and it's a paperclip optimizer?

@corbden please @kazuhito is this some untranslatable cultural thing with geese and eggs? The western civilization is about to fall at this very moment.

@wtrmt @kazuhito I was assuming it's referring to the western fairy tale about a goose that laid golden eggs until the king got greedy and cut her open. Is there a Japanese counterpart or are they borrowing from that?

Executives do tend to take the wrong lesson from stories. To me this seems like a discovery of something obvious the rest of us have always known about where productivity and creativity come from.

@corbden @kazuhito it may related to some kind of oni and the origin of the world, but what do I know!
@corbden @wtrmt I'm not sure how "The goose and the golden egg" is familiar among Japanese. Also, I don't know whether there's similar story in Japan. Maybe there it is, I just don't know it.
@kazuhito @corbden a cross-cultural enigma!
@corbden I thought it was the goose?
@corbden not a strrrawberrrry? 🍓 😆
