Good morning everyone 🌞 I hope you are all well and not too hot if in Europe or the UK. I couldn't post yesterday as it was a full on day, nearly 10 straight hours and unfortunately we had to rollback the big infrastructure task after all the weeks of preparation for it as we couldn't get the new firewalls to play nice 🥴 Vendor is now reviewing the logs.

It was hot for sleeping too, but I was so exhausted after the day I didn't have a problem with that. Now I am up early with the parrots, who I didn't get to see all day yesterday, so there was great excitement when I lifted their covers this morning, with Ziggy blowing me kisses and Jadie gabbling away ten to the dozen 😊 Toby didn't have anything to say, but he did come down when I was cleaning his cage and headbutted the bars in front of me, which is a typical Toby greeting - Very ouch if the thing being headbutted is your nose 😂

Plans for today are not much as I need to recover a bit. We're hoping to get the parrots outside for some much needed sunshine so I might just sit in the shade and read a book for a change.

I hope that today will be a more relaxing day! Sounds like yesterday was a helluva busy one! Wow!
It's going to be rather hot here in the Netherlands, again, today... And the next few days. The forecast gives us 34, 38 & 37 degrees for today, Friday, and Saturday...
I tried to cool the house a bit, but it didn't get any colder outside than I was able to keep it indoors. I do have all the curtains closed, which is fine by me as I like the dark better anyway... 😊 Koa doesn't like it too much, but he doesn't understand that the curtains keep out quite a bit of warmth.

@PixysJourney Good morning Pixie 🌻 Wow, that's really hot! We're in the high twenties and that's too much for me already 😊 We tend to keep all the blinds closed anyway ( vampires 😂) so the house isn't too bad downstairs. Hot upstairs for sleeping though.

Yeah it's rather hot here this week. Yesterday we reached 35°C, and during the night, I didn't see the number go below the 23°C...
Haha, yeah this vampire is doing the same. I am a nocturnal person anyway. 😊 But it really helps to keep the heat out. My bedroom is downstairs, so that's a plus, as upstairs is warmer here as well. When I rode my bike around 6, it was 24,7°C in the room. Downstairs, if I keep the windows and curtains closed, and with the floor cooling doing it's best, it usually gets to 23,6°C. So not too bad at all! Especially when the sun gets up behind the house, and it's on there from 6:30-13 during these days.

Hope you'll have a lovely day today, and we'll try to keep cool! 😉 We only go out a few times for potty breaks. I will walk Koa to the grassy field behind our home, so we can keep the kitchen door and curtains closed. Plus the garden isn't finished yet, and the root fabric is black, and gets hot, so I prefer the real grass and all for Koa with weather like this. As the soil will be less hot.
Due to our nocturnal way of life, we usually are snoozing during the warmest time of the day.
Give the birbs cuddles from Koa and me. 😉 Catch you later dear!

@JustFi Yeah, it was a thing yesterday for sure. Emergency calls with the client and all sorts of political stuff to deal with as fallout. Relaxing is my vibe today for sure! Hope you can keep cool and don't feel too bad. I know how the heat can make my body feel like a swollen pain nexus, so I totally get that you are wearing cranky pants today 🤗

@CazimodoCreative "Swollen pain nexus" is the perfect description, its strange I coped with 28 on Tuesday, that was lovely, yesterday and so far this morning are hell. It is nice and cool in the garden though and we do have the haar just now. Trying to get things done so I can relax soon.
