I love it when the universe aligns for a hot minute...

So I backed this neat travel organizer on Kickstarter about a year ago, and when it showed up, it was a *chonk* - way too big for what I had intended. It's been languishing on a shelf ever since, because I just couldn't find a use case that it fit... Until today. 😁

We have an all-day Eastern Healthcare Preparedness Coalition (EHPC) Communications and Information Sharing Exercise (COMMEX) coming up tomorrow - it's basically a mock hurricane response for something like Helene. I'm participating as part of Triangle Mutual Aid, for AUXCOMM - amateur radio nerds supporting public safety efforts. ⛑️

I needed an easy way to carry two mesh radios, a ham radio, and their associated doodads... Plus EDC basics like paper & pen, multi-tool, bandaids, etc... And some basic comfort stuff like hand san, sunscreen, bug spray, hand & lip balm... and it turns out this chonker is *perfect*!

(@mbroome has been laughing at me as I run around the house going "ooh, I could put X in there, too!" It's almost certainly overkill for a day in a Durham park, but it'll be fun to shake it down and see how well I guessed at what I'll want.)
