andrew773@enobacon They blocked me too. Nobody is taking cars away at most we are just suggesting you consider other modes sometimes and stop killing so many people - especially people trying to have less to do with cars.

@enobacon Where I'm at nobody is taking cars away we're just trying to redesign the infrastructure to support both modes with less people walking and biking being killed and heads are literally exploding. It's like Capitalist Realism but with cars, they cannot imagine any other way.

@LovesTha @andrew773 again, we are in the thread where a gestapo/cop runs over an unarmed protester. I'm happy to talk about compromise but the status quo is a coercion and violent oppression of any attempt to travel outside of a car, so on any given block where there is no bike lane or sidewalks, the status quo can get fully bent as far as I'm concerned.

The first needs cops fired and charged.
The second needs transport fixed.
Both are true regardless of which story this is.
@LovesTha @andrew773 yes, those are the same story. Also #InducedDemand guarantees that the car lanes will be used, and removing some will decrease VMT. You can take away 90% of car lanes and 90% of the VMT will stop. If that's the requirement before removing the lanes, it will never happen except by phenomenal leadership (lead from the front.)
