First parade in my wheelchair, and because I do NOTHING halfway, it was a 2.5 mile route. I managed to self-propel except for the huge hill right at the end where a friend stepped in to help. While I was prepping, heard a friend take someone else to the side to explain how autonomy works with a wheelchair and that he was absolutely forbidden to touch my chair unless I asked for help. I love my community. 💜
