@proseandpassion My mother had a subscription to the German version since the early 1970s at the least. When I was a kid I read a lot of the articles and often failed to understand them. I fondly remember the mathematical games by Martin Gardner.
@hagedose68 sdw only started in 1978 though ... and yes the main articles could be really tough back then ...
@hagedose68 I was left traumatised by the article about the T cell receptor, mid-1980s. And the fact that after a flood of immunology jargon they felt they had to write out specifically that the pH is the negative base 10 logarithm of the concentration of H+ ions.
Martin Gardner I mainly read in book form.
