The Cape Starlings were basically the crows of #SouthAfrica ... but, like the Magpies of #Alberta, to a visitor they are stunning and incredible birds. I'm sure many South Africans are annoyed by these birds, but for me, I was constantly mesmerized by the blue and purple sheen of their feathers.
