Thanks to PiQuark for pointing this out.

The latest beta release of Firefox supports Qualified Website Authentication Certificates.

QWACs were, according to Wikipedia, created by the EU's eIDAS Regulation. As I understand it (and this is based on Wikipedia), QWACs are issued by government certified trust service providers.
They include the name of the person or organization owning the website.

A screenshot from PiQuark of the Firefox Beta shows the browser lists the website owner and issuing trust service provider in the existing "connection protections" popup, accessible through the shield in the URL bar.
I don't have Firefox Beta installed so I haven't tested.
