While I don't have any mobile device I can install #postmarketOS on (other than my Nexus 7 tablet), I _do_ have my x86-based corebooted Chromebook... Why don't I install the generic x86_64 port onto it?

And that's what I did. It works!

...The touchscreen does not work for whatever reason even though it worked under Arch, which kinda defeats the purpose of what I need this laptop for. :/ Also Phosh is kinda slow. I'll probably go back, just for now.

@ROllerozxa There might be a specific kernel you would’ve needed to swap to for touchscreen for that device…

I helped a friend install Linux Mint onto a Microsoft Surface (idr what gen/year) and had to switch to a different kernel to make the touchscreen work on it

@Hettyc_Tracyn Most likely, but when running Arch (which I just reinstalled) the touchscreen works out of the box with all the linux-firmware stuff installed. Shows up as an "Elan Touchscreen" along with "Elan Touchpad", but on pmOS only the touchpad device shows up in evtest.

It's no worries though, the primary purpose I brought this out for was to test Linux touchscreen support in Principia, so any distro is fine... I'll probably end up doing Alpine packaging for Principia in a VM anyway.
