A juvenile Belted kingfisher (Megaceryle alcyon) recently photographed. They are so curious at that young age that they stop to observe humans and sometimes get a bit closer.
Kingfishers are notoriously difficult to photograph so I was delighted by this long encounter.

@rpmik Thank you very much. The light was perfect on that day, there was some light rain which added to the atmosphere of the scene. There was a family of 4 kingfishers, I assume they are a family. A juvenile and a female both perched on that branch during the time I was there. The juvenile was super curious to see me partially hidden in the bush. I was something ''new and exciting'' to observe.
