As someone who's done climate comms for nearly twenty years, I'm very sorry to say that your statement is incorrect, and full of assumptions that are falsified by reality every day.
You are right. As a CFO in renewables an EVs I know what makes financial sense using what I consider basic analysis. The machine behind capitalism is the ability to influence everyday consumer choices. Gas or electric? Throwaway vs durable. SUV vs bicycle. Ignore insurance cost trends, non-linear effects past the next exec bonus timeline.
