Considering booking a last minute narrowboat trip for the end of July.
We do love our canal holidays, but I'm not sure how we'd cope in a steel tube if another heatwave hits at the end of next month!

Plan to move much less than usual. Stop early on moorings that will be in shade for the rest of the day.
But I know that's easier said than done!
Thanks for the advice. Hopefully, we'll have a 'normal' end of July.
We've done hot summers on a narrowboat before, but not a 30℃ plus one.

I feel the advice was bit of teaching grandma to suck eggs. If anything it was just an excuse to post an image from my 60th birthday cruise back in 2008.
The one advantage of #canal #boats is that they tend to be well insulated compared to a boat you might hire on the #NorfolkBroads. The fifty year old ex-Broads hire #cruiser we now own is totally uninsulated and even a brand new Webasto diesel heater fails to keep that warm when there's #ice on the #river.
