The other day, someone here was giving a tip about, iirc, using an atomiser spray of vodka plus hanging in the sun to get rid of perfume smells on clothes.

My question is, how much does it have to be vodka versus some other high-alcohol drink? Would any clear spirit be pretty much as good? I might want to try it on this dress I got off eBay (which still smells of someone else's smell-choice despite an ordinary wash), and I don't think we have any vodka here but we might have something else.
