Does anyone remember an old #RPG on the #Commodore64, and maybe other platforms, called The #BardsTale? Specifically the second in the series, called The Bard’s Tale 2? I bought and played this one in particular. I seem to recall it positing, “Does your stalwart band (F)ight or (R)un away?” Or some such question. Does anyone know where I could find it and, perchance, play it yet again?

@BeefGriller My Dad used to own that one! CRPG Addict has a whole post series on it.

It also came out for Dos which is probably easier to run today via Dosbox, but there is a good C64 emulator called VICE

Both versions are probably on The Internet Archive and ROM sites

@BeefGriller Apparently there is a version on Steam that comes with the Apple II version of Bards Tale 1-3 as a bonus

@BeefGriller I would also Google which version was the best, you got some pretty wild differences back in the day, including game breaking bugs on certain platforms and completely different visuals in music.

I used to be a incredibly active reader of the crpg addict
