Doesn't JD Vance have his own security clearance to access the DOD computer systems? Who is this woman on the ID? Why doesn't Vance have and use his own clearance?

A card can be seen inserted into the laptop sitting in Vance’s lap that appears to be a Common Access Card (CAC), an identification card used by U.S. defense personnel. The photograph on the card, however, appears to be of a woman and not of Vance.

Cybersecurity experts criticized the incident, noting that government-issued smart cards should never be used by anyone other than the assigned individual or left in public photo #USPol #Iran #3Stooges

Qatar’s prime minister posted this picture:

@paul

He looks rightly baffled. What a moron.

@paul

Appears to be, nothing. IS.

@paul But if he commits the espionage and treason on his own ID, he might get in trouble!
@paul anyone else would 100% be fired for this.
@paul Gotta make sure the classified info meets Qatar's needs before Couch F***er's staff transfers it over.
@paul You do not need a clearance for accessing this system. CACs are only used for unclassified systems. Likely he didn't have his CAC with him. I'm sure he has plenty of aides that would be able to carry it for him.

@paul

Oh! It's a coat rack! How awful.
What a room full of shafts with dribbly holes in the end.

@GGMcBG @paul ah! I was like ‘wtf is this half a bowflex bullshit doing in a break room?!’
@paul well, she's getting thrown under the bus so fast

@paul @Guillotine_Jones I have three words that may refresh your memory about the security posture of the current US administration.

1) Waltz
2) Signal
3) Journalist

@paul Surprise surprise these guys are clowns 🫠

@paul

Don't worry, it's only one of Putin's operatives. They have access to the entire DOD system.

@paul Does the ID belong to Trump's "great daughter?"
@paul they are in the break room. he's just trying to play tetris on gov't equipment. that also explains everyone's expressions.
@draNgNon It takes JD Vance two helpers to play Solitaire. lol
@paul One is an expert in black cards, the other in red ones.
@paul jd is involved that means it's not important.
@paul The card is supposed to distract from the embarrassingly long ties.

@paul

Right, so he had to borrow a woman's CAC to access the system, but him and his buddies are still too stupid to know what they're actually doing. Sounds about right.

@paul I DONT KNOW ALL I CAN THINK OF NOW IS "JD ENHANCE!"
@paul we are clean on OPSEC

@paul

They found the card in a bathroom at Mar A Lago, and it still works!

@paul Small point of order, clearances and CAC cards are different things. It *is* a security violation to leave your CAC card in the computer, so the woman could be written up, but Vance no doubt told her to leave it when she stepped out of frame (to take the picture?) The audit record will show what was done on the laptop under her identity which could be bad for her. No I don't expect anyone to care. 😃

@paul - the Garden Gnome isn’t trusted with real equipment of his own.

Much like we all hope the *real* military (not ‘Hegseth’s Heroes’) have replaced Agent Orange’s red nuclear button with a Staples ‘Easy’ button.
