Screening Around the World

“The screen is a magic medium. It has such power that it can retain interest as it conveys emotions and moods that no other art form can hope to tackle.”

– Stanley Kubrick

Watching movies is one of my favorite activity since the day I was introduced of the fantasy world, where everything is possible, imagination take over reality and you become the Hero of your own life. I still remember the first movie that I watched in theatre, my dad kept explaining me what’s going on in the story and the experience was just amazing. Isn’t it so amazing how the emotions going on screen can really affect you and allow you to feel those deep emotions within you.

I truly believe cinema has the power to bring people together. Just imagine being sitting in a dark hall with random 500 people(depends on the seat capacity :P) and enjoying the moments and making memories of the life time. Some you won’t forget because they are so good or some because only you know how you have survived that one(hahaha). Well the technology behind cinema has always fascinated me, the transition from two dimensions (2D) to third dimensions (3D) was incredible. Remember when a 3D movie just means throwing objects or characters at your face. But then the definition has changed to be a part of the movie even with 3D and if you want to experience the thrill, rage and vibrations(for the lack of better word) you have four dimension experience (4DX). Theatres have been advanced in terms of audio as well like you hear the slightest of the noise to loudest of the scream.

So as I said there are many ways to enjoy cinema on you mobile screen to TV and then with a group of people in theatres. But hey I also found an amazing way to experience it in unique way with my partner. In an outdoor setting under the starry sky, with the breeze of the air flowing and some mosquitoes biting(ooppssyy). It was all worth it weather you have a company or you are all alone like me in Japan sitting in the theater hall waiting for an interval. Later realizing the tradition here is different they don’t break the continuity of the cinema. Also out of respect they sit till the end credits are finished for the people who worked vary hard in making a movie.

So here some of the unique theaters I have experienced as part of my life. Do visit and enjoy yourself in your time.
