The local university has a surplus store and I finally got around to checking it out today. Turns out it's also an outlet for a local electronics recycling organization.

On my first visit I picked up this old Mac serial (printer/modem) cable still sealed in original packaging. Yeah it's nothing too special but I like that the label calls out ImageWriter II.

I also found this pack of Apple branded DVD-R discs. The box is open but each disc is still wrapped. Never bought them when they were current because they just seemed too expensive. #VintageApple #VintageMac #RetroApple #RetroComputing #RetroMac #RetroMacintosh
@dmnelson I bought one box of these back before I realized DVD-RAM was different. I soon swapped out the G4’s DVD-RAM drive with a Pioneer DVD-R drive. That was good times — rip, mix, burn!
@dmnelson I would buy these from our local apple reseller. They were more expensive but way better quality than the "stack of 20 in a spindle". I didn't even have a mac back then, I just liked them over other brands at the time.
@dmnelson “computer cable” seems a bit vague though. 😂 Cool store! Do they have any ADB keyboard and are you travelling to Europe soon? 😜

@dmnelson

Hey - I have a "computer cable" too!
