Traps
@zhenyi Random fact: "Claude" is a french name and when pronounced in french it actually rhymes with the english word "code" (probably depends on the accent).
@renardboy @zhenyi A French coworker of mine says "Clode" and I had assumed it was a funny accent thing
@j3rn @zhenyi As a native french speaker I know you're supposed to pronounce it "clawd" but I can't bring myself to 😂
@renardboy @[email protected] @zhenyi Claude is named for Claude Shannon, the American father of information science. No American ever pronounced Claude like a Frenchman. Nor, I suspect, did any Roman Claudius.
@samueljohnson @zhenyi that is fair and reasonable but it just feels like a missed opportunity to rhyme
@renardboy @zhenyi Tomato and tomayto, router and rooter etc. It's bad enough w people divided by a common language. 😉
